December Chabot Special Results

Sloughhouse Benchrest Shooters held our last CF Benchrest Match of the year, our popular Chabot Special, on Saturday at Sacramento Valley Shooting Center in the heart of the Ione Triangle. We shoot 4 3-Bull targets @ 200 yds for both Group & Score, requires a little strategy as to what you go for depending on where that 1st shot is.

The 13 shooters that came out for the match were greeted by chilly (California standards), grey, misty/foggy conditions with temps never getting out of the low 40's. Good news is there was barely enough wind to get your tails moving, and we had some great scores as a result. We had 7 6's (including 1 BR Pistol) and 6 30 BR's for a nice mix.

TGT 1 had Ron Pepper picking up where he left off last match, posting a nice 154 Score agg for 1st, Steve Raeder 2nd on a tiebreak with 152, I was 3rd also with a 152. I took the Group Agg with a nice .489, Jeff Rodriguez 2nd at .644, Francis Lee 3rd with a .676.
TGT 2 had Ron again 1st in Score with a 156 agg beating out Francis who also had a 156 on the tiebreak, I was 3rd again at 155. I took 1st in the Group agg again with a smoking .385 agg (Small Agg of the match), 2nd was Ron at .519, in 3rd was Bill Costanza with a nice .569.
TGT 3 started in a reverse pickup, with several exclamations of "WOW, look how far that moved" Ron staying steady taking 3 in a row in Score with a 154, Jim Burton 2nd with a 153, Steve Raeder 3rd at 152. Once again I took the Group with a .547 agg, Jeff took 2nd at .725, with Ron 3rd at .736
TGT 4 was back to normal condition (L-R), and I finally decided to start my group in the center and managed to take 1st in Score with a 157 (High Agg of the match), with Steve Epstein 2nd just beating out Steve Raeder on the tiebreak both with 155's. I finished the clean sweep in Group with a .548 Agg edging out Jeff who popped a .553, Francis 3rd at .558.
Special mention to Roy Luchini who shot the small individual group with the only .2 of the match a super .298.
Everyone helped get things put away while I finished up the cyphering, and we got things wrapped up @ 12:00 and got everyone on the road to try and beat the weekend traffic.

FYI, I made an error in calculations when I was figuring out the Overall Aggs, the following reflects the actual Final Results.

Thanks to all the shooters for coming out, and especially to Jeff and Bill for ramrodding the frame setup and Bill acting as Target crew & Jeff handing RO duty. You guys have no idea how much I appreciate your help, I couldn't do this without everyone chipping in to help out!
Hope you all have a great Holiday Season and hopefully we will see everyone in January for another Chabot!
Keep em on the dot!
