It was a cold and windy day today presenting plenty of challenges at Dead Zero. But that didn't stop 21 shooters from taking the firing line. We started with a 1000 yard cold bore challenge on Dead Zero's electric targets. Greg Goodman won showing all of us that it could be done even in the bad weather. He was followed closely by Bryce Burch(8 yr old) and Kieth McDowell.
Troy Lockhart and Kieth McDowell tied in first place by completely clearing the 1000yd, 800yd, and 600yd course of fire with zero misses. Bryce Burch is a new comer to long range steel shooting at only 8 years old he took second place even though his feet were barely touching the ground off his stool.
I can't say enough good things about the bunch that showed up to shoot. They all worked together to help each other get on targets. A lot was learned today by shooters young and old
