My daughter went to south texas with her boyfriend on a management deer hunt recently. She doesn't miss very often with her 250 Ackley. From 16 years old to 19 she had more important things to do then hunt, now she wants to go all the time, thank goodness. Added her javalina picture from the same weekend.

Management hunt? Good grief - that buck has quite a spread. She did well.

BTW, so did you, raising a daughter who hunts. Congrats.

Congratulations Dad,

Very nice and job well done. She taught that buck not to step out...... My daughter, now 16, was going to follow her brothers foot steps and hunt with me. But I hear you on the other important things too.

Instead, she wanted a new pistol and loves target shooting with me. Nothing wrong for a daughter knowing a little of good ol dad's hobbies, plus it does make boys think twice too.

Excellent job by your daughter! And hunting with an AI caliber to boot! She got her big game and varmint hunting double and is loving every minute. Keep the youth hunting and shooting in this country! My hats off to you!

Mike I know you are as proud of those animals as she is. Congrats to both of you.

Can't believe she is touching that javelina, they are full of fleas!

You are very luckey that your kid loves you and not the other things that kids do now.I would give anything for my son to stop doing dumb things and return to hunting.

Mike,
You must be very proud her :) Beautiful creatures (All three of them) ;) My daughter is 28 yrs old and I think I was able to get her to target practice with us just one time, my oldest son is 24 yrs old and have taken a few deer, he can take it or leave it. My youngest son is 16.5 yrs old just ask him the .5 is very important He is a killing machine, Two elk, a lot of deer, bear, coyotes, and cats. He has been hunting w/me every sense diapers were no longer needed. He got his white tail w/his smoke pole a few days ago, I am very proud of him. He has been shooting 1000 yd br w/me and am hoping to go Antelope hunting next year w/him. He took his black bear this past spring @ 1008 yds. I have a nice video cam and never have it w/me ??? nice thread Mike, we all should recognize our children more often, time is very short w/them.
Wayne.

My son is the real hunter in the family. He called in his 32 coyote for the year last weekend.
Another picture of my daughter at my range with her 243AI bench gun.
