Dasher shoulders splitting when hydroforming

last box I did, I had 5 split. It's usually less, but I don't stress about 5 or 6.

I also found that my match load won't fit in my hydro-formed cases. The bullets hit the powder, creating a compressed load, which I'm ok with, however the bullets can't be seated down far enough to where my barrel likes them. For that reason only, I'm wondering if I should continue hydro-forming (since I have to fire-form after hydro-forming before being able to load my match ammo). OR, I could switch to another powder that has less case capacity and similar velocity :)

I tried a hydro forming die and ruined 300 pieces of virgin Lapua 6mmBR brass. Sold the die to a guy in Texas.

Brass is a fairly ductile metal. Brass just as aluminum requires heat to form without tearing the metals grainular structure. Expload forming gives the brass the needed heat to form without tearing the grainular structure of the metal. This is further demonstrated why annealing helps restore formed brass to a consistent neck tension.
