Dasher loaded into lands

Am I wrong in thinking that no matter how far you load your bullet into the lands, it will get pushed further into the case when it hits the lands? If that is so does it matter how much bullet I leave out of the case for fireforming because the lands will just push it further into the case.

Depends on your neck tension. It could make it where you couldn't get the bolt to close because it couldn't push the bullet back into the case.

Good luck. I would seat it where you want it and not depend on the bullet pushing into the case.

My problem is that I don't have the guage to check where the lands are so that I know how to load my br brass for fireforming.

Sacrifice a case with a dremel tool cut a slit down the neck so a bullet can go in and out. Dummy load and extract it a few times and start measuring.
