dasher case length

I'm fire forming dasher cases and they are very short. A new case is 1.556-7 after fired it ends up 1.538. I tried both ways, false shoulder and just long seating a bullet and both false shoulder and long seating a bullet,all act the same. this seem a little short,anybody else have this happen? is this normal?............jim

Jim, just measured some of my cases they are 1.545". These have been fireformed using the false shoulder method.

Flybuster, I think i answered my own question. see if this makes sense, i have a .269 neck so my first cut with the K&M is set at .012 a little heavy but safe,I set the depth at .250 a little past the shoulder neck area. that came up short,so i set the depth of the cut a little longer to .270 and see if that made a difference.
Number one when you make a false shoulder you lose a few thousands but when i fired the first one that was 1.554 after the false shoulder was formed it ended up 1.5485 after that 3 more were the same. Idoen't make sense but it worked.....jim ???
