Manatee 600 line was full for practice today. Good sign shooters are coming back. I wanted to test Shooters' World Match Rifle powder in a Dasher. A few weeks ago I did the same with a BRA and Match Rifle. It worked and I do have the results here somewhere. Today the fun was with Dasher. Used an old target with holes covered by a sticker, my camera, colored bullets and my chronograph. Results seem valid with the caveat that Manatee was hell today. Gusty winds left to right and hideous mirage. it was a real struggle just to see the aiming point. Others there struggled and did worse than this.
The lower three holes were impacts by 32.9 Gr. of Match Rifle at about 2,980 fps.
Above that is a rather tight cluster of 33.1 gr doing a perfect ES at 3003 fps, 33.3 gr. doing 3023 fps and then the top one and two below doing 33.5 gr. at 3042 fps. Never even the hint of a pressure sign.

I resisted any compensation for the gusting left to right conditions. Tried to wait and at least see the aiming point in some sort of fashion in that mirage. Notice there is little vertical from 33.1 gr to 33.5 gr. Alex would probably call that, "positive barrel compensation".
Now the components were scrap ones shot under horrible conditions with no real attempt to compensate. Essentially they are 2.5" groups at 600 yards. What is important is the purpose of the test.
Would Match Rifle powder be a reasonable substitute for Reloader 15? I say "Yes". If you are having trouble getting powder this stuff is rather inexpensive and available. How you can tune it is your business. I am not going to go further with tuning for this powder as I have plenty of other powders. Just blew the money for an 8# container on a whim to try.
