CZ's how many bolt lugs?

Hi-NV Shooter

Gold $$ Contributor
I was wondering about the current CZ rifles that are used for ARA factory class how many locking lugs do they have? or even in general any RF CZ how many lugs.

Lee

452 has two; both are part of the bolt handle ring.

Gerry
Thanks Gerry must be the rifle I was looking at was not a CZ or the second lug is not as distinct as an Anschutz 54. I assume the root of the handle is one lug and 60-90 degrees opposite of that is the second lug on the CZ.

The 457 only has one lug at the base of the bolt handle. Not sure of the 455.

Hey Scott,

That might be what I was looking at. I was helping someone at a match at Rio and there was no lube on the lug so I was applying some and then went to put some on the 2nd lug couldn't see a second lug???

I thought it strange.

Lee,
Yep, smooth round bottom on my bolt, other than the cocking piece. It's not a .22, but they are all the same. I would guess the 457 is most likely the predominate CZ action in Factory Class. We don't shoot Factory at my club, but do shoot an informal match before ARA UL and several guys are shooting 457's of one flavor or another. So far as I have seen, they won't run with the Annies, or the one RimX and Vudoo we have participating. Our target is quite a bit more difficult than the 'pie plate bull' ARA designed though.

BTW: Elton told me to say hello.......so hello from your old stomping grounds!

I kinda thought that, since the barrels are interchangeable, but didn't know for sure. So, I guess the rifle Lee spoke about could have been a 455 as well.

Scott,

That was exactly how it looked round opposite of the handle. I am guessing Elton bought something off you. unless you took a trip to Paradise:)

I haven't been in touch with him for a while, I no longer post on RFC. anyway, thanks for letting me know he said Hi.

Lee,
No, no trip to Paradise! :( He tried to buy some rings off me, but the time difference got the best of his efforts, unfortunately. He graciously understood. I have placed a couple of ads over on RFC recently (fall cleaning), but have stopped posting and reading their forum, for obvious reasons.

Good to hear from you........Scott

Scott, that is what I thought. I was tempted to buy that Sightron you had but having a spare 46 Weaver sitting made me think twice:)

good to hear from you as well.

Sorry that each of you no longer post on RFC. I understand your reasoning, but the site is diminished with out your insights and knowledge. Stay well.
