CZ -USA 457 Varmint.

I just picked up a new CZ-USA 457 Varmint in .17 HMR this afternoon. I was able to chose between two that the dealer had just received. I was amazed at the fit , finish and overall quality that both rifles exhibited. Compared to some of the Ruger and Savage offerings that I had looked at the CZ is clearly superior in overall workmanship. I was told that CZ offers a Picatinny rail made especially for this model ( their #10709057 ) and was wondering if anyone has installed one of these on their rifle and how well it works. I was also trying to find out if this rail is steel or aluminum. Any info would be appreciated, thank you !

I don't know about the CZ rail but I have a 457 picatinny rail made by bscar on RFC. It's aluminum and very nice. And alot cheaper than the CZ one.

Another vote for the BScar scope rails. Bill makes them with zero slant or 25 MOA. The two I bought for my 457 American & Varmint MTR were 25 MOA slant models, and cost me $35 each, with shipping included. I've been very pleased with both of mine...

Nice! I also don't really plan to buy a 457 but now it might not be a bad idea for varmint hunting.
