I just can't past the aluminum receiver
I second the motion!Get a Tikka. You won't regret it. Especially if you want out of the box accuracy.
Hey, would you mind measuring your max COAL in those mags? I bet I could 3D print some 10 rounders if I dusted my CAD skills off.I just got one in 223 last week, scope is on the way, hopefully get to take it out in March for some silhouette practice.
So far I overall like it despite a few drawbacks. Has dual cocking cams and nice (but single stage) trigger. CZ USA was unwilling to switch out to the 600 Trail two stage trigger. Trigger is on par with the Tikkas, although I like the Tikka's safety and ease of maintenance and removal much better. The trigger was not designed by shooters, but by management who thought it needed to have certain features. Should have stuck with a Remington 700 trigger, if Bergara had a 223 it would be no contest.
I am planning on doing a write up for the bulletin
After all that bashing, im wondering what you would recommend that's built better and out performes the Tikka that doesn't have a plastic bottom metalI am not Tikka a fan at all. I don't understand the rage. Many guns shoot accurately. That's the only thing impressive about a Tikka. Every Tikka is built on a long action, has bolt bigger in diameter than a large broom handle. Oh but such a smooth action. It should be the bolt is HUGE. It has a bolt stop for the shorts and a magazine block for the shorts. The trigger guard will break if you bump it. A tiny ejection port that makes it almost impossible to single load. I would handle and try many other bolt action brands before buying a Tikka.
It shows you never held a tikka. The bolt is a just under 0.7" in diameter, and you just plop in a round on the empty magazine and close itI am not Tikka a fan at all. I don't understand the rage. To each their own…. I liked the first Tikka I tried enough to keep on trying them a dozen Tikkas later. accurate, smooth, never have cracked a trigger guard and many of them have spent days in the pack, days in the field.I am not Tikka a fan at all. I’m a huge cz fan but I just don’t think the quality is right hat it used to be.
The 600 were recalled and barrels rock settled in place negating the switch barrel ability. Most people that bought it wanted it for that feature.
I would go with a tikka as others mentioned
