CZ 527

I was planning on converting my CZ 527 varmint in 17 hornet to a PPC...emailed CZ info on their website, and they said it would just require a new bolt, bottom metal and magazine and rebarrel of course...
Then I got a heads up from the guy I sold my hornet bolt to about this thread:

Has anyone done the conversion I'm considering? Any info or firsthand experiences appreciated...
Thanks,
Ken

How are you going to use the rifle?

The reason I ask, I put a blank piece of metal over the bottom metal hole for the mag
and use it single shot.

I opened up a bolt body for a 357 Max so I see no reason it couldn't be done for a PPC.

Buying the parts is going to be expensive.

Maybe sell the Hornet and buy a 7.62 x 39 Russian

Keep the hornet and buy the 762 x 39. You can't have too many guns. Kennynxpawu

Go to benchrest.com and buy the one already built by Jim Williams and save yourself the headache. Swap the stock you have so you get to keep the better fitting American style one and you're there.
