I am going ahead and barreling my .204 with a Pac Nor. The new ITAR regulations have so far hindered my ability to find a local smith in FL to do the work. I'll be sending it to Pac Nor to have them install it. The gun is currently a sporter lefty in a Boyds Pro Varmint stock. I ordered the stock in the Bull Barrel configuration. I have a couple of questions before I order.
1. I want to use 40 grainers or better in the gun with the majority being 40's. Should I go with the 11 twist? I am not reloading now but might later. 99% will likely be 40 grain V-Max but I might shoot the usual 32's if I am in a bind. My current 1/12 twist sporter barrel shoots 40's fine but is dead accurate with 32's.
2. I figured a 24 barrel length was the way to go for a .204, correct?
3. Does anyone know what profile I should get? I understand CZ's varmint profile is small but since its a micro action that must work better. I thought the light Palma profile from PacNor matched the dimensions I found on the net best.
