Hey fellas I finally got my 457 delivered today……finally………
Anyways I want to buy a good Picatinny rail for it. I’ll likely do some upgrades at some point but just want to shoot it as is for a bit, I may go long but for now will be shooting 50 and 100 yards but want plenty of room for longer distances later,…. What do I need moa wise and I want a good one. Thanks in advance

I use a 20 MOA pic rail from EGW. Plenty of elevation adjustment out to 200 meters and it doesn't add in too much elevation to prevent use at 50 meters. This is with a scope having a 1" diameter tube. My rifle now has a scope with a 30 mm tube which added a bit more elevation range.

If 100yds is your limit, you will probably not need a MOA rail. Of course this will depend on vertical travel your scope has. It takes about 27MOA at 200yds.

Burris XTR signature rings will attach atraight to the dovetail and allows 30MOA of adjustability. Also one less part attached to your rifle.

Ok guys I appreciate all the feedback. I been on a boiler shutdown so haven’t had much time but I’m on my lunch break and just ordered a 30 moa area 419 and a set of 6 screw Badger Ordinance rings, for now I’ll pull one of my 12-42 nightforce scopes off one of my 1000 yard rifles. But plan on checking out what everyone is using for Rimfire scopes. One guy I follow on YouTube really speaks highly of the Track Toric scopes?… anyone on here have any experience with them or other suggestions. Actually I just now thought about it I think I won a 12-42 nf and still new in box. I won’t be doing any prs shooting, hoping to find some ara or some form of benchrest matches

Dusterdave has a couple. I looked thru his while we were out Prarie Dogging. They are nice, and clear. He seems to be very happy with them. I believe I would be happy also.

Don,
What are you running for glass on your Rimfire?
I guess I can start another thread. I have no Rimfire matches close or I would just go to one and see what folks are using and I know they would let me check their equipment out if there anything like my 1000 yard friends.

I have nothing special on mine Wayne. My Tikka T1X has a Super Sniper 20X mil-quad. My Bergara BMR
4-16 Vortex PST. In the future I think I would like a Sightron 10-50 for rimfire shooting. I haven't shot a .22 shoot yet. My buddy has and we talked today about shooting a few different fun shoots. I've ran N.F. Benchrest scopes on several of my centerfire comp rifles in the past. Now I'm using Vortex's Golden Eagle. If I had a spare N.F Br. it would probably go on for starters just to see if it would work out.

It took me quite a while to get the Cz in but I love my Tikka Centerfire rifles I plan on trying to get one in Rimfire but in my neck of the woods they’re tough to get. My buddy bought the Bergara and really likes it, I haven’t had the chance to shoot it yet. I’ll try the nf and go from there. Thank buddy for sharing with me.
