range report i took some cci mini mag remington gold and bulk federal out to the range this morning cci and remington shot 1/2" at 50 yds fedaral shot .75" i'm impressed with the rifle good crisp triger no creep feeds perfect love it

We think you will like the 455, based on our experience with ours. We did want a lighter trigger, and the 455 offers a great bargain option in that regard with the YoDave trigger kit, which cost me about $22.00 including shipping and offers a wide range of pull weights, should you ever decide to tinker. If you have not already, you might ask about this over on rimfirecentral. I would be curious to know if there was a time when the 452's were built with match chambers. That would be a very good thing for some shooters. If I were to hunt with a 22lr my choice would be cci minmag 36. I dont hunt 22lr so; a tight chamber would be a good thing for me. I have a 453 (2015 special run) in22lr and it handles the minimag fine. Ironically, I dont care.

One of the great things about the 455 is the fact that you can drop in a Lilja true target quality barrel. Then you can get djdillon (Rimfire Central ) to pillar bed the rifle and you will have a rifle that will shoot regular old federal AE22 high velocity ammo into 1/4" 5 shot groups at 50 yards all day long. The same gun will put wolf match into MUCH smaller groups. And when you get bored with that you can drop in a 22 mag or 17 HMR barrel and start all over.

I have a 455. I have had it for several years.. Originally mine had a 22-mag barrel. Last spring I installed a 17 HMR barrel. Took all of five minutes.. My 455 is a great shooter in either caliber..
