The CZ 452 is an excellent .22 rifle and very accurate. I have a lefty 452 American.

I have a 452 American. It shoots pretty well. The trigger has a lot of creep but the break is pretty nice. I can actually stack the trigger like a two stage, due to the creep. It shoots target ammo very well. SK Standard + and RWS Target rifle shoot well in mine - I use it for a sporter weight postal benchrest match that Rimfire central runs.

I have a CZ 452 Varmint 22lr. The most accurate 22 I ever owned and I 74 , the barrel was so tight I had to use a 20 Cal. one piece Dewey cleaning rod . Great rifle shoots one ragged hole group every time ..

I have two CZ 452 American rifles, one unfired. The other is my most accurate 22lr. Shoots in the 2’s at 50 yards. I installed the Yo Dave trigger spring for safe, crisp. 15 oz. trigger pull.

my 452 American is a17mach2, still have Eleys first run ammo 2005, and cci called fast and furious, and 2000 rds. Remington made by Eley, its been setting in the back of my safe for 10yrs time to pull it to the front get it out shoot it, cant afford 22lr

I bought a 5 spring pack way back 07 I think same guy yo dave memory fuzzy the thinnest wire spring 1 1/2lb to lite for hunting

I installed a Rifle Basix trigger in my 455. Much better than the OEM trigger. They shoot.

I have a CZ452 American Lefty in a Kilinsky stock and using a Timmey trigger (1-4lb adjustable range). I've been shooting it in NRL22 and it shoots great with Eley CMP bulk and Eley Match. Great shooting rifle for the money. I'm right there with the big buck guns.

I have one of the 452 BRNO 2500 Ultra Lux rifles from 2001-2. I have the original "orange" stock safely stored. Now mounted in a Boyd's Pro Varmint. Tuned ultra light trigger. BRNO target peep sights. I will never sell this rifle.

My second CZ a 452 Ultra Lux Super Exclusive. I haven't had a chance to scope it yet, but it seems fairly accurate with the iron sights, can't wait to get some glass on the ultra lux.

CZ 452 rifles can produce some very good groups. But can they do that consistently? The odds are they can't.

Something well worth keeping in mind is that one or two good sub-.5 MOA groups does not ipso facto make a rifle a sub-.5 MOA shooter. It's like saying that since a pitcher struck out a single batter that he's going to throw twenty more strikeouts in a game.

Here's a sub-.200" five shot group shot at 57 yards with a CZ 452 American. It was the first group on the target. The ammo was CX. To go by one single group, this rifle is a sub-.5 MOA shooter.



On the complete target, however, none of the other groups was under .250" -- the sub-.5 MOA threshold. Although one other group was under .300", the five groups on the target averaged just over .360" -- not sub-.5 MOA.

Shooting one or a couple .5 MOA groups at 100 is possible but it's unlikely to happen consistently or often. Shooting regular sub-.5 MOA at 50 is a tall order for a factory CZ, even a 452. Regular sub-.5 MOA at 100 is a very tall order for any factory rifle, let alone a CZ. While 452's have good factory barrels considering the overall price of the firearm, they are not match quality barrels and will not shoot like them.

I think Joe Friedrich shot one of the first ARA Factory Class perfect 2500s with one of those. I'm not sure of the rifles age or modifications.

no one said a cz 452 american was a benchrest gun but they can with the right ammo shoot small groups my 452 17mach2 and Eley ammo can and will get your attention, just saying.

i put mine in a Klinsky position stock and rigged it up with Redfield Palma sights and its real easy to shoot offhand
