Cut your own chamber

I see everyone is wondering who to send their barrel to to do a chamber job the best. Invest in yourself and do it for $165. I seen Bob Pastor is doing chambering classes again. He has a brand new Southbend also. There isn’t very many people out there that would let you even touch that machine for that kind of money. It’s a good way to learn at least one way to chamber that is proven to win. He just put up new website with his number and info.

Wow, what a great offer from Bob. A great experience for anyone that can do it. When you consider the cost to fill up a diesel pickup vs the cost to learn how to chamber a barrel you really see what Bob is offering here.

Hello Bob,

I was wondering if you pre-bore, Indicate off of rods or bore? Or do you run the reamer in from the beginning with no boring?

Also a good friend of mine bought a bunch of prepped 6.5 Baer brass from you years ago, He never got around to doing the project, I ended up buying the reamer, Gauges and brass, Going to be doing the rifle soon. Anyway just wondering how you go about chambering these days, Thanks, Mark

Hi Mark, I indicate the concentricity of the bore with ground rods. No pre boring. The go gauge is a special size. Only 5 exist so, don't lose it. If you have any questions, please call. 1-269-521-3671

Thanks Bob! I appreciate it, Mark

That's the way I have been doing it for years also, I was just wondering how you do it because we have had some debate on this forum about different ways of dialing in the bores, I don't know that I'm convinced to change the way I've been doing it.

Try another way and figure it out for yourself. That's the only way you'll sleep at night.
