Custom Stock Makers

Can anyone recommend a stock maker out there that works with exhibition grade woods and makes stocks based on customers wants and needs?

Most of the Guild guys have certain types of stocks they build but someone will be able to get you what you want. I use Chuck Grace for my really nice stuff...

While you are on the guild site, look at the 2007 match pairs. David Christman did those and is on his 3rd stock for me. I can email photos.

sorry for being broad, I am looking for something as a hunting stock...with a little heavier barrel channel than sporter.

I hope you have vary deep pockets. Your looking at 3500.00 and up. Guilds member are vary proud of their membership and charge accordingly.

There are other stockers that can do the same work for a lot less money. The list is a long one.

Hunting rifle stocks is the main build for the vast majority of stockers.

Your best bet is to find a stocker locale to you and get with him to discuss your project. It will be a long project, most stockers will tie you up for a two year wait.

Do a web search, find someone close with references.

Try Arron King aaron@taogart.org he does very good work and his turnaround time is months not years. He has done several stocks for me, and I recommended him to many of my customers.
