custom Ruger 77 270 win

I have a custom Ruger 77 in 270 winchester made in 1979. Has a Hart barrel and a trigger job, work was done by Lee 6 rifle company. The rifle is in excellent condition. Does can anybody have any ideal what this rifle is worth? nilebartram

I knew Lee Six, he lived San Jose, Ca and had his shop there. Would this be who did the work on 270?

yes the work was done there or Mel Iwatsubo did the barrel work, he worked for Lee. nilebartram

I have 2 that Mel chambered. Mel worked full time for AT&T back then and chambered for Lee on the side. Far as I know he chambered at his house and my rifles had nothing to do with Lee. I was shooting BR back then.

I have a tuned Ruger 77 MKII with a hand rubbed oil stock, hand checkered, custom barrel and finely tuned trigger. It’s also cerekoted. In my opinion it is about as nice as a Ruger can be but the market is small and I would have a hard time getting good money for it. A knowledgeable buyer might pay $800. If it were a remington it would be worth $1300 or better.
