Looking for custom size dot installation in a scope. But I need something bigger than the customary 1/8 - 1/4 MOA size. Preferably 1/2 MOA.
I shoot small bore prone and HP prone. Those tiny dots get easily lost in the black. Especially the 1/8. Add in poor light conditions and I basically have to shoot blind. Itty bitty just don't work for my eyes no matter how I adjust everything, ditto for super-fine cross hair reticles.
This is as much a seeing game as it is a shooty game.
I'm not adverse to larger than 1/2 MOA, say 1 moa (X-ring size). I shot a 4x nikon with 3 moa dot (1/2 zombie head) for hi-power XTC for many years. No problem seeing that, but way to coarse (10 ring) for SB prone.
Ironsite did a dot install for me many years ago. But it was for an old Redfield 12x varmint scope. But I haven't got a response back from them on larger dots.
