Most gunsmiths make a few runs a year of their popular chambers. If youre one of the guys that has your own reamer and a one off chamber you can order a die reamer for your gunsmith or send a print/fired cases to whidden for their custom die.

Thats what we do but that one reamer cuts a ton of barrels. Cats that want to have their own reamer have to make that choice of whether or not to get a resize reamer made. Lots easier to send a print over to whidden than have a one use reamer

My custom die was Whidden Gunwork.

I sent chamber print to them and they make a perfect custom die for me with reasonable price.

ditto here. fl type s bushing and resizing brass is SO EASY. made off the reamer print, not fired brass which can vary.

Neil Jones makes custom dies. Hornady makes custom dies. Warner makes custom dies. Whidden makes custom dies, and for calibers for which dies are already in production, where fired brass is available, you can size the (well used, and work hardened) fired brass with a production die, measure the result, add your desired clearances, and order a custom chamber reamer. I have done the latter for several projects, with good results, saving the additional expense of a custom die, while getting custom fit.

When sizing a case for a chamber the reloader should have a good understanding of what they are trying to accomplish. I know; it sounds cool to say “I have my dies made” and the best dies are made by my die maker.
