Recommended Custom Die Makers?

Anyone know of a custom die maker that would make a full length bushing die for a 6X47 Remington? SAC, Whidden, Harrells are out. Neil Jones doesn't answer. 222 Remington mag bushing die would work.

I have a 6x47 improved 35 degree (222 Rem Mag case). CH Tool and Die actually had a FL sizing die for that in stock and then I had Jim Carstensen modify it to take a bushing. Not sure if Jim is still offering that service, but here’s an article about it.

Howdy !

My last 3 custom ( wildcat ) dies, I ordered from Hornady…

- Custom bullet seater, including .224” cal seating stem made specifically to fit the 55SX,
for bullet seating in my “ .22-35Remington “ wildcat. *The die is dual use, as… with a change of the case holding sleeve; I can use the die also for seating bullets in my
“ DEEP 6 “ wildcat.

- Combo shoulder bump/bushing NS die ( also accepts Wilson bushings ), that I can change case holding sleeves. Again, for me…. it’s a dual use die, useable for 2
different caliber wildcats.

- Full wildcat case forming die set for forming my “ .358 AutoMag “ wildcat
( .357AutoMag fully formed to final .358” caliber ). * Hornady even machined a special
“ small base “ die for this wildcat, in case I might need it )…. and included in the die set for free !

Loaded cartridge run-out has been just fine. Their prices are great, and delivery times minimal.

Oops. … correction to previous msg, above.

The Hornady combo shoulder bump/ bushing NS die does not use a case holding sleeves. But as mentioned, for my 2 wildcats; it is a dual-use die.

Applologies for the error!

You could have a resize reamer ground, and have a smith ream a die blank. It would have to be hardened or nitrided, but it's doable. Don't know how long Hornady takes to make a die, but just getting a reamer ground takes at least several months probably more.
