Lee,,,nobody in their right mind,,,,how much do you want for it,,,?? I have used a Culver measure since I started shooting Benchrest is the early 70's,,,Jesse Corder who was my mentor, knew Homer and called him on the phone and within a wk I had one!!!! I use it to load short and long range loads and hunting load,,even 4831 powder meters wonderfully with practice,,,I set a NBRSA 600 yd 3 target world record with ammo loaded with mine,,,there are a lot of nay sayers who think scales are the answer,,,nothing wrong with weighing but nothing wrong with loading with one of these great measures either,,,,mine has the pill bottle adapter,,,originally we would go to the local drug store and get empty throw away pill/pharmacitucal bottles... I liked the ones that were for Darvon,,,,they were big enuff to hold almost 2 lb of powder (enuff for a weekend/ 2 day/2gun match) ,,,then in the late 70's Hodgdon started putting their powder (usually H-322 ) in the round black cans that we see on the market yet today ,,,these had the same labratory/pharmacitucal thread that the pill bottles had ....I like the old pill bottles because they were opaque and allowed you to see the powder level in the can,,,,today most folks use a Nalgene commercial bottle (my choice today ) which is see thru also and the 1000 ml size holds aprox 2.2 lb of powder,,,,I set my measure on 100 and throw several dumps of all my powders and weigh the charges....they are usually around 56-59grs....so if one dump at 100 throws 58.6 gr of some type of powder then each 1 # will give you .586 gr.....If you need a powder charge of 60 gr divide it by .586 and you get 102.38---I would set the measure on 102 or 102 1/2 and try it..!!! Pretty simple and quick and repeatable,,,,,,shooters who dont have one or use one have no idea how quick and reliable they are,,,I wouldnt load/shoot/compete without mine,,,,Roger
PS...I think the Harrells /Culver measure is just as good but no better,,,,,,,I shot with Homer at Kelblys one time ,,,,he was always experimenting and trying to find a better way to do everything,,,,His Culver action was an early steel prototype of the Stolle aluminum action ,,,he and Ralph were contemporarys and shared ideas wayyy bak in the day....these guys were a small fraternity of shooters who have pioneered what we take for granted today,,,,there is a thread on here http://forum.accurateshooter.com/index.php?topic=3823139.0 about an early 50's publication that has many autographs of these great innovators of firearms design (actions/barrels/bullets/scopes/powders/triggers/you name it !!)...I was fortunate enuff to know several of these folks and had the good fortune to learn from their experience/efforts,,,,today most shooters want to Google how to shoot/load/where to aim in the wind,,,,,these men did it the old fashined way,,,they worked for it,,,when the first recognized Official Shooting Match was held in Johnstown Pa. these men wrote letters and made phone calls to organize the event and shot guns that were what we would consider a vintage "groundhog" gun today,,,,,
