criterion barrel

260rem , picked up a 26'',SS used ,8 twist , wacked it off at 18.5,put a brake on,shoots outstanding with 139 Lapua's,shoots 200 to 1000yd steel just fine !

Recently, I bought and installed a Criterian, 6br, 8 twist, 28" bull on an old long action single shot Savage. The thing shoots as well or better than my 6br Benchrest with the Savage competition action. Fear not!

i am asking, because i have criterion as a sponsor for my match i am putting on and was thinking of trying to raffle either a barrel or the opportunity to have one made with the stipulations i started the thread with and use the money that comes from it to help pay off some match expences.

Calib

What kind of Match are you running? That may dictate the caliber and countour of whats popular with the folks that are in your group.
For example If I was running a match for F Class I may go with a heavy taget barrel in 308 (FTR) or a 6BR for the F-O guys. Maybe even a 7mm if there is long range in your area.
If it was a Tactical match again 308 or 260 maybe in a lighter countour but not a sporter weight.
Bench rest? Well you get the idea.

Just a thought. Even a cerificate is nice then the winner could pick at his or her choice with a set dollar amount.

Good for Criterion for there support.
