CRICKET TARGET .22lr competition model

anyone know if this guns groups well at 50 yards using match ammo, wanting to buy for 12yr old son, but has to at least shoot good???????????? Has a nice 1"ss barrel and looks real nice, but will it shoot?
 
Bought one for my daughter, pink thumbhole stock, because i counldn't get her to stop just pulling the trigger and aim with her 10-22. Best thing i ever did! the thing will easily shoot under an inch at fifty yards and it makes the kids take their time and aim! By the way my wife is deadly with it.
