I considered that too.Try setting the trickler on the top of the scale, not touching the platen… it worked for me.
Do u do this with ball powder? Just some tweezers and a a pan of powder is fine for stick powder. I bought this scale just for 17 hornet and cfe black which is like fine sand.Place a funnel on the scale. Keep a bowl about 1/4 of powder to use for adds and subtracts in front of scale, and use your thumb and index finger for a trickler. The learning curve is pretty short and it works a lot better than you would think it would. I use a RCBS for the rough throw then trickle to weigh on my A&D
