Coyote double

I mainly come to this forum to learn reloading concepts from the competition shooters here. I'm not a competition shooter, but rather enjoy shooting hogs and other nuisance animals at night.

I got these two yappers last night while waiting in a recently planted corn field for hogs that never showed up.

I figured some of y'all may also enjoy shooting things that bleed like I do? Hope this is appropriate here.

I am using an IR Hunter Mark 2 thermal scope. It has a built-in video output feature and records video to a remote mounted SanDisk card.

Thanks.

that was a heck of a running shot, congrats,
post some more , i like those thermal videos.

These are some of my favorites. These three coyotes were killed over the course of 4 or 5 days in the same cornfields that I was killing hogs in.

This is my personal favorite.

The beauty of this hog bloodletting is that back in the spring when the corn was planted I hunted this field eight times in about 10 or 12 days and never even saw a track. They just didn't come to that field until after the corn matured. I got nine out of the the eleven I saw enter the field.

Payback.

My rifle is a self-assembled DPMS LR-308 in 308 Winchester with what I consider a few upgrades.

Adjustable gas block, ALG "improved" mil-spec type trigger, JP low-mass carrier w. high pressure bolt, and a 20" black hole weaponry polygonal rifled barrel that amazes me with its accuracy and velocity.

To me, the package is very soft shooting, and as heavy as it is, I can stay on target for faster follow up shots even though it's a 308.

The way I've got it zeroed in, standing and shooting off my shooting tripod, I can ring an 8" round steel target at any random distance up to the max distance of my local range of 270 yards without any adjustment to scope or to my point of aim. This is farther than I'm likely to shoot at night with this sort of optic anyway.

I think this is the perfect set-up for night time varmint hunting.

Thanks.

Some great videos, seems almost like shooting fish in a barrel when watching. Good shooting, especially on the running targets, some are DRT.

I am a big night time coyote Hunter and have never never ever seen a coyote raise and wag his tail like the one did in your top video here. Are you sure that wasn't someone's dog??????

Honestly in the back of my mind I worried I might find it wearing a collar.

Luckily it was not wearing one.

I chuckled to myself when I saw that happen live.
