I think he's playing possum. I've seen them back a full grown lab up if they can get in a protected place.

That possum isn't dead. He may lay there motionless for 30 minutes but then he's gonna be looking for a bath house.

Great video there, in all my years killing , baiting coyotes,I've never known a coyote to eat a dead opossum, they've laid in a pile all winter and only crows and raptors ate them,great video nevertheless.

Never have had a coyote eat a opossum here either, see them on game camera video together. Haven't seen one get mouthed even. I don't throw opossum out at bait sites anymore, bad juju.

That possum is fully alive. You can see his eyes blinking. If it were me, I'd shot them both!

That’s why the coyote all of a sudden dropped it and sniffed it
Then pissed on it
My grandma was so worried the ones she killed were faking she’d put a bucket over them with a brick for a few days
They’re would be flies all over it but had to stay like that because
“ just need to be sure”
