Covid is over, time to trim the fat

Yep. I forgot to add, I attribute my weight loss to a substantial realignment of what I ate, when I ate and how much I ate.
Calories in - calories out. Basic thermodynamics. And it takes a lot of work to burn off a few hundred excess intake calories. But exercise, both 'cardio' and weight training, have lots of benefits outside of weight loss. I highly recommend everyone reads Dr Petter Attia's book "Outlive."

Well, down about 5lbs already. Calories in < Calories out is the absolute bottom line to any weight loss, no matter how you do it.

I rode thousands of miles on my Orbea with full Campy group. Smooth bike. Until it was stolen from my storage unit while I was moving. Along with my SS/MTB that I raced occasionally. That was a fun bike! Total mechanics special i built when I was managing bike shops. I had to cut the head tube to fit the fork i had. Custom built the wheels, old school race parts like Ti flat bar, Ti V-brake and booster, Ti levers, etc. For a steel framed bike with 2.4" wide tires and slime, it weighed in at 22lbs. Dual air fork that i eventually shortened for more XC style riding and better handling.

My Brother got me into pedal-drive Kayaking, and my overall health has improved as well.
Yes Sir; low impact and stamina builds quickly!

Edit….
Those that have noticed my “hobby” of Baking/Cooking and the resultant calories from some of my creations should be aware that I rarely eat such cakes, pies, pastries, etc. My neighbors, friends, and Family are always in for such treats, but I’m trying to keep my weight (even at 6’5”) around/under 210 lbs.
Of course, it’s my fault that the above mentioned group are constantly at odds with their diets.
From my Brother…….

The hobby of baking/cooking I fully understand. It's one of my passions. We haven't bought bread in I don't know how long as I bake sourdough routinely. Make my own pasta from scratch. Grow many of my own herbs and vegetables for various dishes, too. It's difficult being a foodie and keeping weight down, but at least I feel better knowing exactly what I'm putting in my body.

Fermented foods are one of my favorites, loaded with good gut bugs and tasty, simple and always available. A fermented pickle is far superior to a quick vinegar pickle, regardless of the vegetable or fruit.

Speaking of which, I need to make more bread now...
