That's an "R" which means your rifle is a first year 1965 Premier Grade 110P. Very cool!Found the stamps but I can make nothing of the date stamp.

Savage 110 date codes start in 1957, through 1968 they were:
1957 = I
1958 = J
1959 = K
1960 = M
1961 = N
1962 = O
1963 = P
1964 = Q
1965 = R
1966 = S
1967 = T
1968 = U
The "U" was only used until an alpha character preceded serial number to comply with 1968 GCA.
