Cottontail/Rabbit distress calls

Im on the lookout to purchase some more US made cottontail/rabbit distress calls. They work brilliantly here in Aus on our introduced red foxes. Anything that is very high pitched, shrill and raspy is great. In the past Ive used primos raspy coaxer and the verminator tweety to great success but I have a feeling they are starting to learn those sounds a bit.

Can anyone suggest some of the better calls in this style? Ive been told about the burnham brothers mini blaster and also the TS predator calls relentless HP. Any others that would be suitable?

Just my experience with them, but the best I've ever used, easy to blow, most productivie cottontail in distress calls are Primos #316 Cottontail in distress . Have shot a pretty good pile of coyotes with these calls. WD

Awesome, and best of all, I can order from bass pro or cabelas easy. Any feedback on the buck gardner calls or knight and hale calls as well?

You could also order directly from Primos if you'd like. I have tried the Knight & Hale, but with no success. WD

some of the best calls I have are close reed, simple calls made by guys that hunt,
these calls are hand made to make a variety of sounds, unlike your production made calls which are pretty much all the same, most of your brand name calls are produced in mass and have no variation to speak of. look for guys that do there own hunting and make there calls for themselves,

Go over to Predator Master forums and look into the "Custom Calls" sub-forum, bunch of great guys/call makers that I'm sure can hook you up.. be forewarned, you can't just buy one or 12, there addicting.

Mini blaster is the cats meow, well fox's meow in this case. I have one in my pack and one in both my trucks.

Crack calls. They're acrylic. Very good sound.
