Cortina Precision FL Sizing Dies

I have one for the 6.5 Creedmoor and truthfully I am really struggling with the die. Not much I can do about it as support is non existent unless you sign up for the $15 forum they have. My issue is it is really difficult to run my brass in it. I use die wax, I have tried the Hornady One shot, etc and still really effort requiring to get the brass back out. I have not stuck a shell in in yet... Would like to know if it's just me or what.
I did see on his YouTube channel that he finds he needs to run it through the mandrel die without the mandrel as it also sized the case to the base, then puts it into the full sizing die. I took my cases to neighbor and was able to easily run them thru his RSBS 6.5 creedmoor sizing die.

That does not sound right because he claims there is a special coating used on those dies to promote correct re-sizing. Have you tried e-mailing Erik?
Yep and tell him you may have to resort to neck sizing !
have you tried Imperial sizing Lube?
I have some of his base sizing mandrel dies as and had the same.
Polished the inside and it made all the difference
I had the exact same problem with a 6.5 Creedmoor SAC modular die, turns out it's just not compatible with that particular rifle's chamber, which is on the generous side. I still think the die is a good way to go, next time I'd pay the freight to send them a few fired rounds to ensure compatibility before committing to $300+ for a paperweight.
Like others stated may be a mismatch between die and chamber size? Try a light vis petroleum oil as a case lube. It has good film strength which all the popular lubes don't have. Currently using AutoZone Snow Plow Hydraulic Oil. It's a synthetic low viscosity oil. About $8 a qt.
Most the popular case lubes seem to work if you are not moving the brass a lot during sizing. If the die is trying to move the brass more than usual popular lubes may not work well. Try some car engine lube if you have any on 1 case and see if it sizes easier. I use very little force to size cases.
Film strength is the ability to maintain a layer of fluid separating two surfaces sliding against each other under load without breaking down.
Let me know if petroleum oil shows improvements.

Yes, that is what I use and then more recently add the Hornady One Shot spray like 30 min prior to attempting to size. Thanks you are helping me rule out the choice of Lube being the issue.
I have watched a lot of his videos and he does seem like a straight up guy. Problem is Emailed and waiting as it'd the only contact I have so far. Thank you for the response.
I'm beginning to wonder that as other have also comment about compatibility. I am so close to ordering SAC modular die but hate to find that another expensive die doesn't fit. I spent +$330 so like to get this figured out. Thanks for responding.

How did you "Polish the inside"? I have some brass with scoring on them from the shoulder to halfway down and wondering about that.

If you are having brass scouring clean your die, you have dirt or brass inside the die, Hit it with some bore cleaner and let it soak. then hit with a plastic bore brush, then clean with brake clean or alcohol. Ditch the one shot. Sometimes the Nitrided dies take a little bit to brake them in.

If you’re willing to spend that much again, contact Neil Jones and ask him to make you a die. He quoted me somewhere in that price range to make a sizing die for PPC. His are not an off the shelf die. It’s made to fit your chamber based on your fired cartridges.
I ended up going with another custom die maker for my situation, but after owning a die made for my chamber I would not buy another off the shelf die for my precision rifles. You might get lucky and find one that fits your chamber perfect, or you might be like me and spend 2x more on off the shelf dies hoping to get one to fit than it would cost to buy a custom in the first place.
