Corrosion in cases

So I'm tearing down some loaded rounds that came with a rifle I bought. Some of the cases have corrosion inside them. Ok to throw in the tumbler and use, or should I toss them in the trash? They're not all this bad, I grabbed the worst one for the picture. 20211215_164020.jpg

Any idea what powder was used in the loaded ammo? Possible powder gone bad? How does it look and smell?

Power was aa3100. None of it smelled bad and was all normal colored. I was just worried about corrosion possibly making the cases weak.

Not intending to alarm you here, there was a recall on that powder a few years ago. Only a certain lot was noted. Good you are tearing them down, how much brass are you looking to save? Might be best to trash them. You don't normally see internal corrosion in loaded ammo from any other reason.

My guess is the bluish color has to be copper corrosion. Stress corrosion is bad news. Surface corrosion?
Looks like a considerable amount of corrosion. I would throw them out even though they may be OK. Your safety is not worth the price of a few cartridge cases.

I would tumble and inspect just like every other cartridge. If you see any pitting then toss them. If not I would load them.

There's about 100 cases total. I think I'm just going to toss them. I was hoping to save them so I wouldn't have to firework new cases, but I don't think it's worth the risk.

Most likely the bullet bases have similar corrosion? They will be OK to use when you fire form your new brass.
