cooper rifles.

I may have the chance to buy a cooper in 6br; on coopers website it says 6br REMINGTON is this correct and if so anyone own one or had one and how did it shoot.
thanks for any info.

I would clarify what it is. 6 MM Remington and 6 MM BR are not the same thing. I have a 6 MM BR, classic model, which is not the heavy barrel. I really like it and it shoots less than .5" MOA at 100 yds. 65 gr. vmax's seem to work the best in my gun. I use it mostly for coyotes and have taken it prairie dog hunting.

Good Luck

Well, it's worse than that actually. There is a 6mm BR Remington which is not the same as the 6mm BR Norma. I went over to the Cooper site and they sadly don't specify if it's the Remington or Norma version.

The differences between the Remington and Norma versions are here on the site somewhere. If I remember correctly, the Remington version is slightly larger around the web.

There's a blurb in the FAQ,of all places) on the differences. I had it backwards above.

I have a 22 BR Cooper Varminter and I use the Lapua 6 BR Norma brass necked down in it. I think the difference between the 6BR Remington and the 6 BR Norma is that the Norma web area is a little bigger around and the case is a little longer than the Remington. To be sure just call Cooper and ask for Rob Behr. He will answer any questions you have. They are great guys to deal with.
