Cooper Rifle trip to range

Hey all,
Just wanted to share my experience with a used Cooper Mod 21 Rifle I bought off Gun brokers. Very pleased with the rifle when I got it, the genelman I bought it from said it was a safe queen and I believe it, it looked brand new! Just got out to the range with it yesterday and plesently surprised. Looks like the 55gr Berger varmint HP with 27.5 Varget gets the nod.

Can't go wrong with a Cooper that was taken care of. Tack driver. I bought a CZ 452 Varmint 22lr. from GunBroker , was also a safe queen after the guy bought a Anshontz or what ever you call them. I also was very pleased . It's nice when things work out.

Bought a Cooper in 221 Fireball from this site about 9 years ago, one of the finest shooting i have had hope you enjoy yours

I had a Cooper Varminter in 6BR. It had a slow twist, 12 or 14 as I recall. It shot the 64 gr Berger column bullets very well. I sold it a while back to make room in the safe for a custom 6BR Jeff Walker is building for me. Beautiful wood on the Cooper too.

Now you need to get another one with a field/hunting stock; a Walnut Varminter or Walnut Montana Varminter.

I had my cooper 204 R at the range today. A little cold and windy is my excuse for no bug holes, but, easily shooting 'minute of gopher'. The Ruger #1 17 Hornet shot much better with the new Jard trigger. Also shooting 'minute of gopher'. Montana is less than 3 weeks away.

I almost bought a Cooper in 22-250 the barrel was gone from shooting ground hogs , it was hard to pass up . Bolt was as smooth as glass , great trigger and wood .

I've heard for the original owner they replace the barrel for a very reasonable amount, if it is 'shot out'. I've been in the factory a couple of times, to visit and also have work done, very nice facility and nice people.
