Coon calling last weekend.

Was down in Kentucky near the Ohio River, friend owns 15 acres of heavy timber, oaks, lots of beech maples etc. he's been telling me it's full of coons.
We set up at 8"30 pm in his deer blind, I had my Icotec Caller, I used only bird distress calls and coon baby distress calls at 11pm we walked out with these not a bad take. a suppressed 22 was used , using Winchester subsonic the old stuff made in Australia, flattened them , one was just shy of 20LBS.

They have many babies every year.

I hate coons they poop in the barns get in the trash, knock stuff over and eat all the cat's food, little furry terrorist I have killed bunches of them I hate doing it but they r terrorist, on 4 legs and they get the cat water dirty washing their junk

They got in my sweetcorn this year. I caught one coming to the field.

Now picture this with sound. I'm on an island with no light other than the stars and no noise. He climbs a tree overhanging the river. I put a green light on him and pop him with a 55gr Nosler Varmagedon at 3000 out of a suppressed 223, about 80 yds. The hit was solid in humid night air, then a satisfying splash.

One of my most memorable shots.
