Cool Acres 1000 yard IBS Matches Posted

The Cool Acres IBS 1000 Yard matchs are posted on the IBS web Page .
All matchs will be 2 Target with Shootoff Format . We will shoot 2 matchs on Saturday and one match on Sunday.

We also want to announce that IBS 600 yards is coming to GA in 2018.
We will shoot one match on Saturday and one match on Sunday

We will finish our season up for both 1000 and 600 yard in October at the First annual Georgia Long Range Championship we hope to have a nice prize or cash to be given to the best 2 gun overall from the 1000 and 600 yard discipline combined .

I want to Thank Eric Jill and Ben for making this possible for Donna and Myself to be able to do this we like running matches as much as we do shooting them.
Also guys and gal go ahead and plan on bringing your shot guns we will be doing a turkey shoot at the end of the day to raise money for a shooter or shooters that we feel may need a little help or have fallen on hard times .
Rules are real simple stock appearing shotgun any choke shooting 8 shot closest shot to center of target wins something meat ,cash or just a hard time . 20.00 for 5 rounds winners buy drinks at supper LOL .

Also I forgot to mention as I usually do forget to do something at the first match we will have a discussion about club dues in order to be able to do awards at the end of the year and possibly some fundraisers as well to help support the club .
We will plan on having the range open on fridays around noon for shooter to test or just get on paper. If you would like to come in earlier than any of our match dates just contact Eric at cool acres and he will work it out with you times fees etc .

Most of you know we are pretty laid back like to have fun and at the same time run a match by the book and do our very best to make you happy . And I’m sure there will be some BBQ cooked some banana pudding made and a the best Chicken sandwich in the world will be fixed and probably be about 5 gallon of ice cream made and some stories told maybe a lie or two small ones ya know .
But at the end of the day I hope everyone says man This has been fun and you leave full of food and full of joy.

I see the first set of matches is early February and 600's later in the month. That could mean snowsuits. Now if you can set up a tent/blind with heater around the bench and shoot through a slot ...

That might be the deluxe bench assignment. We might need that here in south Florida if this cool weather continues.

30 degrees is warm. We haven't been close to that as a high in weeks. The next couple of days are supposed to be bitter cold. Hovering around 8 degrees as a high. Matt

You lied. 31 degrees yesterday morning. 36 this morning. Should be reasonable for testing and shooting again by Monday.

Hope Cool Acres is not for the first series of shoots.

I just went by the weater report down there. That said ,36 degrees is a heat wave here it is -17...... Jim
