Congratulations to Jennifer Bondurant (jenn b) on new national record

Turbulent Turtle

F-TR competitor
Earlier today, Jennifer established a new 1000 yard F-TR Women National Record shooting what I remember as a 199-9 during the NRA-Registered January Long Range match at Bayou Rifles.
I believe that was her score, but my memory is like a steel sieve these days. (I'm sure that gets better with each year.)

It was a lot of fun watching her establish this new record and she seemed very pleased. As she should be.

She's a heckuva shooter. Congratulations Jennifer.

Thank you for all the nice comments. Yes it was a 199-9

Jennifer is an excellent shot! Congrats Jenn!

I am going to say something that, hopefully, does not get anyone's hackles up. It is an observation I have. It may be wrong, but I don't think so.. Here goes: I started at the end of 2011 shooting F-Class at Bayou Rifles in Houston, Texas. Like I said, I may be wrong but it appears to me, that A LOT of national records are set from the folks at Bayou Rifles. Whether these Bayou Rifles members shoot these records at Bayou or elsewhere, they do hold a bunch of records. I do not believe ANY ONE club has as many excellent shooters as Bayou Rifles has. There is a wealth of talent there! Even when records are NOT set, the VERY HIGH scores there are unreal! And I KNOW that many, many times the atmospheric conditions are NOT conducive to the high scores shot>>>it is that there are MANY excellent shooters there, all in one club! Once again, Congratulations Jenn! Nice job!!

AWESOME shooting @Jennb :)

Phenomenal aggregate to boot! 591 of 600 is some awesome shooting with any type of shooting Kit... But with slowly 308 and bipod is just awesome! You earned it today! Winds were not easy... Congratulations

Congrats Jenn!!

I have to add that she also co holds the FTR 600 yd record @ 200-16x. I was shooting one or two firing points over when she tied that record last year.

Sounds like I should visit there for some lessons, I could use some help.

It was quite the show by Jennifer today.

As Woody pointed out the conditions were far from ideal and she shot the national record in the second match, which arguably had the toughest conditions of the day. Which she then followed up with another match winner, shooting 198 in the third match. Very impressive.

Congratulations Jenn!

Congratulations - Would you share the details of your winning rifle: caliber, action, barrel, optics, builder, (load .. lol).

Very well done.

Gerald
