cone bolt for Rem. 700

I have a ptg coned bolt for a Rem 700. I would like to use it for a hunting rifle.
Does anyone know if the cone bolt will feed a repeater action ?
thanks,hh

Sorry to the bearer of bad news but probably not. Hopefully someone will prove me wrong. ;D

It's too many words to type but probably the correct way to describe his bolt is that he has a bolt for a coned breech. The bolt is not coned at all. It's only the front faces of the locking lugs that are different from a std bolt.

Before you spend a lot of time and money check and see if it is Timed correctly. Does it have good primary extraction.

I am not sure if my pierce actions have what you would call a regular benchrest coned bolt? The bolt face is coned all the way to the dia of the case head not sure on the angle? It feeds a 6 BR case out of an AI 308 mag just fine. And I don't mean kind of or a slow bolt movement I mean as fast as you can run the bolt. I have two of these rifles and three friends with the same setup all run great.

Paul,
We have tested intensively the cone breech/coned bolt face concept here.

The coned bolt extract the round from the mag like a fat one.
The difference comes when feeding in the chamber..The cone breech feeds as in a dream.
