Concave Primer

What do you guys make of this primer? I was bore sighting at 50 yards and this was a full power load. It was the first shot. I fired another round that was touching the first. The second looked normal. I got a closer look when I got home and could not see light through it. I have seen a few concave primers over the years, minus the center hole, that were the result of no powder charge. I have never seen one like this.

First firing on brass? I've seen this with short brass and a slight hang fire. Firing pin pushes primer in before it goes bang and it recoils back, punching the primer.

Seventh firing with .002" bump with no ejector.

Did you by chance drop the FP on it after it was already fired?

No.

The only time I have seen this, was when I did this. So I'm no help.

Possibly a primer that wasn't seated deep enough?

That is my best guess. The anvil is still in there.
