Components?

Okay guys, I’ve been bitten by the bug. I am considering putting together my first and maybe only, custom rifle for varmint hunting and bench shooting out to 1000 yds. My research has winnowed things down. It would be a 6mm of some sort, probably a 6SLR. The action would be a Borden Rimrock BR, Jewel trigger with a 5 R Kreiger barrel. I’d prefer a wooden stock. I’m yet undecided as far as optics. Am I on the correct track ? This is all new to me and there is so much to consider.

Your looking at some fine components. Maybe look at the BRMXD from Borden. I like both my 6SLR rifles. Both shoot as good as you could hope.

Traditional wooden stock will not be your friend if you shoot in all sorts of weather conditons. Go for one of the laminates in a color pattern that suits you and make sure its sealed well.
