Component and Ammo Availability

I am beginning to see more stuff available. In fact, I saw 1000 rounds of 9mm for <$300. But it was FMJ and aluminum case. What is the drawback with the aluminum case? If you don't plan to reload it.

22rf is still way too expensive and the same with primers and powder. I am afraid that is a sign of the times.

If your pistol will run it, I would buy it. Mine have no issue at all and I don't reload pistol anyway.

So am I. Slowly. Ever so slowly.

Retailers are still getting very spartan shipments to them, for the most part. But it seems to be getting replenished with a bit more frequency than ~9-12mos ago.

Of course prices are nasty, for the most part. I suspect much of that won't come back to sane levels, given the "supply chain" and basic materials realities.

Ever so slowly things are looking better. For some reason small rifle primers seem to be popping up regularly, but large rifle seem to be more scarce for watever reason. Prices on ammo have come down from their peak slightly, hopefully powder and primers will follow. I do not expect 2019 prices but I don’t think primers will stay quite at $100 plus per 1k.

Uzis don’t like aluminum cased ammo.

I just bought 3,000 rounds of aluminum cased 45 acp. Never had problems before and I don't anticipate having any problems now. But I could be wrong.
