competition rifle triggers

All my thoughts are good ones. I have used them for a good number of years on two of my FC rifles and prefer them to the others I have tried including Jewell's.

Andrew. Get a Bix N' Andy. Best damn trigger on the market, bar none. I have bought 5 of them. They are pricey, at $395.00 each, but they are made in Austria and they bury any other trigger that's on the market. You can adjust them down to 1/2 an ounce and will work just fine at that low pull weight.

By the time you work over a Jewel, you could get a Kelbly is my thought process. Have only used a Jewel for probably 10 shots on a friend's rifle so can't say one way or another

Bix N Andy would be awesome but not sure I want to go that far on trigger quite yet

I played with a B&A trigger. If I were blindfolded, and had to choose which rifle contained the B&A or a Kelbly, I wouldn't know. At 1.5 ounces, both feel exactly the same.

Cool. Then there is no need for me to try a Kelbly's trigger.

Well if you say as u did u would of felt the difference. There is a BIG difference between those 2 triggers set at the same weight. I haven't shot with one guy in short range IBS competition shoots who use a Kelbly trigger. Most are using Jewells, and a lot of guy's are changing to Bix N' Andy triggers. I don't know if F class is different?, but you'll rarely if any find one on the line in the decibel that I shoot.

When you touch off a trigger at 1.5 oz, there is NO difference in the weight, or feel. If you put 1.5 oz of corn in one hand, and 1.5 oz of rice in the other, you feel no difference in weight, because there is no difference. The difference between the make of trigger isn't going to make you a winner. As to competitors using Kelbly triggers, you need to look a little closer.

It was most likely not set-up properly. You are the first one to claim there is no discernable difference. Contrary to those that tried them and claim they are worlds apart from Kelbly's or Jewels. I can feel enough difference between my Kelbly's and Jewel's that it is difficult to switch between them when campaigning 2 guns at a match.

You apparently are either grossly lacking trigger time....or...carpal tunnel syndrome is affecting the nerves in your trigger finger. :D

One thing I really do appreciate about the Bix'N Andy is that it absolutely does not slam fire, even with it set at 1.2oz as I have mine. No matter how hard I slam the bolt closed, no slam fire. Wish I could say the same of the Jewell I replaced.

Do you really believe that those who put $400.00 into a trigger are going to "claim" anything different ::) We aren't squeezing the trigger :o only touching it. If you can actually feel the difference between the B&A, and the Kelbly triggers, you must be touching one with exposed nerves, and the other with a gloved hand ;D

I did manage to talk to someone who shoots all 3 of the triggers mentioned above and who sells two of the three. He said to go with a Kelbly or Jewell. Said bix n andy is great trigger but wasn't sure it was worth the extra $200. Said if you go with jewell to polish all internal parts to be close to a Kelbly.

Seems like just pick one and not try others then will think you have a good trigger
