Colt 1991A1

Came across a very clean 1991A1 80 Series, Parkerized finish, plastic wood look grips. Seller doesn't strike me as a gun guy, just a guy with some guns. I was thinking about throwing out an offer of $400 for it. I've always fancied a Colt 1911, seems like this one might scratch the itch.

Trigger felt good, but I have nothing to compare it too. Functionally it seemed like new, no real wear either.

Anybody have/had one? Opinions?

I have one I bought new a number of years (maybe 20+) and never a hiccup out of it. Over the years I have transformed it from a stock pistol to heavily modified. The only remaining original parts are the frame w-sights, slide and barrel. It is worth $400.

IMO, hard to beat a Colt, even a Series 80 1991.
