I am the new LR F-Class Match Director at Colo Rifle Club. I am working with Robert Spencer, and Robert Garibay to setup and manage our events this season. I have had the pleasure of meeting many of the members of this forum at SWN, US Nats, and at the State matches hosted by CRC. I look forward to seeing you at SWN next month and hope you will come shoot with us at CRC.
We have set our club match schedule for 2025 along with a multi-day championship in July. Schedule is below. We have a few details to work through, but should be able to publish programs, etc., after a Club Director meeting on the 25th.
At this time our Club matches are not NRA Approved or Registered. This may change following the meeting on the 25th. I will apply for NRA Approved status for the July match. If you have strong opinions on this, let me know.
2025 Fullbore Nationals:
We are not planning to host the F-Class Fullbore Nationals again this year. Being new to this and other factors we felt that was a bridge too far. Once we get a full season under our belts we can apply to host the Championship in the future. Apologies to those of you looking forward to a 2025 Fullbore Nationals at CRC.
Schedule:
April 19 - Club Match - E targets
May 17 - Club Match - E targets
July 18-20 - Rocky Mountain F-Class LR Pair-Fire Championship
Pulled targets
August 9 - Club Match - E targets
September 13 - Club Match - E targets
October 11 - CRC Iron Man - E targets
Format:
The format details will be in the programs I send out and post. The summary is,
Club Matches - 3X20 string + Optional 2X15 Pair
(Yeah, I copied Bayou Rifles format. Wanted to try a qualify the matches for FPS points since we have ranked shooters in the Club.)
Rocky Mtn - Day 1, 2-Man team, Day 2, 3X20 pair, Day 3, 2X20 pair
(Blatantly copied the 2023 Championship format because it was fun to shoot.)
Iron Man - 3x20 string + 3X15 pair
(Copied the Nebraska Iron Man format, again because it was fun to shoot.)

Art Brunton
