My sister-in-law does estate sales and gives me any gun related stuff she is not going to sell. Recently recieved 30 rounds of reloaded 30-06 ammo. It was a mixed up bunch of range pickup brass that had Nosler ballistic tip bullets. I decided to pull it down to salvage the bullets. Turns out they were 150 grain bullets. Powder was a stick powder that looked like IMR something. 46.5 to 47.6 grains - yuck! A collet puller was having trouble so I used a seater to move the bullets 0.030 deeper. Then they pulled ok. Discovered the bullets had been crimped, and most bullets came out with a bright shiney brass ring welded to them. Proof that cold welding does happen, and another warning to never shoot someone elses reloads.
