COAL with Dasher/110smk

Anybody got any info on COAL with Dasher and 110smk? I'm sending off some dummy rounds to get a barrel throated. I'm thinking 2.530", which should give me ~0.020" of the bearing surface below the shoulder/neck junction. That should give me room to chase the lands, but have plenty of room to stuff that case full of powder.
I looked on another site, though, and saw several people talking about 2.420" COAL with the 110s. That seems like a lot of bullet below the junction to me. Am I thinking about this correctly? Anyone have any info/experience they'd like to share?

Thanks!

I'm at 2.466 average, using Norma Dasher brass, the bullet bearing surface is just above the shoulder/neck junction. At 2.530 oal, it would be 1/3 way up the neck but I wouldn't have had any issues with that if it had been throated that way.

Richard.

A reamer with about .150" free bore is what your looking for.

Thanks to all for the feedback. I don't have the option of throating by simply requesting freebore. I must send dummy rounds to which the barrel will be throated.
For example if I want to use Delfuego's 2.463" + .020" jump, I need to load my dummy rounds to 2.483". I do not know in what throat this results.

Dont start out below the neck junction. Youll wear the barrel out before you run out of neck i assure you. Its pretty misleading chasing the lands the length of the thickness of a hair. Seat the pressure ring right above that junction and youll be ok.

Yep.
