For your consideration is a Remington 40XB Heavy Barrel I received a few weeks ago from CMP with the intention of getting back into vintage BR at my local range. I’ve since decided I don’t have the time or want to do that anymore.
When received there was light surface rust on the barrel that I scraped off with some copper. Stock has some typical dings and dents for a weapon of this age with only one remarkable crack on the fore end that will be pictured, should be easy to repair and does not effect function.
The scope, scope mount, and Atlas bipod mount, and bipod is not included, but if you are interested in any of them except the bipod(I’m keeping) we can discuss it.
It has a Timney HIT trigger installed set at 6ish oz(according to my cheap digital pull gauge). I had to trim the shoe a mil or two because it was hitting the trigger guard.
I also purchased a new extractor and extractor spring that I have no installed and will include with the rifle.
