Club score match at Rockingham County Gun Club ( NC ) July 26, 2025

RCGC will be hosting our next club match of the year on Saturday, July 26th. This match will be for Score at 100 yards. Match begins at 9am. Gate will be open by 8am for setup.

Targets are scored using a reticle, so there is no caliber advantage. Scoring is 11 points for an "X", and 10, 9, 8.. rings scored as typical. Classes are available for Benchrest, Modified, and factory rifles.

Season trophies will be awarded at our last match in October.

You do NOT have to be a club member to participate.

The Rock was on her best behavior today, best conditions I think I've ever seen there. Hot and sunny with very light breezes, no mirage. It looked like a 25x kind of day but it wasn't too be. We had a 4 way tie for 1st with a score of 272( or 22x ibs score). Cuz'n Roy Darnell took 1st, bumping Ken Eades to 2nd, John Whorley came in 3rd and Treece Barringer was 4th. Good shooting guys. Randy Perry was 5th with a score of 270. It made my day that my good friend Ken Eades felt good enough to come and shoot, and shoot quite well at that. It was good to see him smile about kicking our butts. Thanks to Roy and all that help with the match. See ya next month for 200 yd score. Congrats to all that shot well!
