Cleaning Rod ?

I have been slowly updating my rods and bore guides to pro-shot rods and Lucas bore guides. My question is, I have a nice long pro-shot 22-.264 cal rod and Lucas inserts for 6.5 Creedmoor. Since this guide will also fit my .308’s, will I do any harm to the 30 caliber barrels with the smaller rod in a good fitting bore guide?

Just be careful when pulling the rod backwards. With the smaller rod and the larger jag, it will tend to hit the crown of your rifle when you pull the jag back into the barrel. The smaller rod will let it drop down when it passes the muzzle.

I like the handle shape on a pro shot but i dont like no bearings and the cross pin handle attachment. The rod itself is a quality piece but the handle is junk. I always meant to modify some of mine that lost a handle.
