Cleaning rear sights?

My phoenix rear sight has not been tracking right and I think its time for a thorough deep cleaning. Has anybody dissembled their rear sight to clean it it and if so what did you use to clean it and did you lubricate anything once cleaned?

I would not take any rear sight apart unless it needs to repaired.
I clean my Warner sight's in the fall at the end of my outdoor shooting by first removing the adj. iris, I then flush the sight with lighter fluid and finish with spindle oil.
In the spring lightly blow off any excess oil.
